Michelangelo Lopez named Ann Armitage the victor in a contest held a short while ago at the University of Internet Science (U.O.I.S.)

Michelangelo Lopez founded and is a major player at this online school for internet marketers named the University of Internet Science or UOIS, for short.

Students learn crucial aspects of marketing online. For example, basics such as how and where to market their products, business opportunities and programs. This irreplaceable training includes some "hush hush" tips that will not be found elsewhere. And what makes UOIS different than some other online training sources is that UOIS is available to anyone regardless of which system or program they may be involved with.

Many classes are taught by the school's most successful students according to their individual marketing specialty. However, the majority of classes are still taught by the gregarious guru himself, Michelangelo.

It is Michelangelo's way that attracts people. He comes by his preacher-type sermonizing quite honestly as he is the son of a preacher. You should not be surprised to hear him say, "Can I get an amen?" His classes are always filled with music, humour and a playfulness that define who he is.

In the course of one these exhilarating classes and the day after moving into a new home, he suddenly announced a contest to name his new, much larger office.

Ann Armitage is a founding, long time member of the UOIS and was present that night as she often is. Ann Armitage has known Michelangelo for over a year and has frequented many classes, so it is safe to say that she has good knowledge of who he is and what he believes in. It was probably this familiarity that helped her to win the "Name the Office" contest.

"I was amazed at how quickly I was able to think of not 1, not 2 but 4 entries to the contest! I somehow knew which one he would pick. I guess I struck a chord", says Ann. Michelangelo needed only 40 minutes to make a decision and "The Pulpit" was hatched, winning Ann Armitage a cool $100!

Whether they know it or not, every member of UOIS is a winner ... .

- Article marketing: This term refers an article writing process for e-zines and directories. These 350-500 word articles should be filled with keywords.

Such articles should include an authors resource box at the end of the article where you can insert some information about yourself. For example, youll want to include your name, some personal information, your real URL, and information on your product.

- Be an expert: You are required to be an expertise in your field of article writing. Reader should be familiar with you and your product prior to his/her visit to your website. - Use short paragraphs: Writing gigantic paragraphs will often cause readers to pass over your articles. Make paragraphs concise and easy to read.

- Use bullet points, sub-headlines, or numbers: These add a nice esthetic touch to your article while simultaneously making it more clear to the reader.

- Resource box: At end of article there will be resource box where you can add your name and URL. So write such information about your product in resource box that can attract your reader. For example, using call action, write "visit us at" etc.

- Write more articles: In order to maintain high traffic on your website, you must write daily. Weekly writing simply wont suffice. Since you will attract more people with more articles, establish reasonable goals for yourself, such as 5 articles a day or 25 articles each week.

Thus, this article can help you in writing high quality articles.

In many cases, the paid methods are going to be a great choice, especially if you want quick results and have the money to spend. One good way to do this is to use pay per click marketing to encourage more traffic to come to your site. With pay per click marketing, usually, you'll utilize the type of ad that's placed on search engines. It comes up when people do a search with words you use in your ad. Another way to increase your exposure is to blog. This, too, is free. However, it's going to take some time from you. However, this allows you to create a personal connection with your readers, those you want to market to. Many marketers find that blogs are excellent marketing tools that bring them great results.

Ann Armitage Wonders ... Why Is Cash Gifting So Popular?
By Ann Armitage

What is the appeal ...

There are so many Cash Gifting programs or cash Leveraging activities these days but, what is cash gifting ... really?

Cash Gifting programs are honest-to-goodness methods of revenue generation or leveraging, if you will that both individuals and private groups in may cultures have used for many years. Cash Gifting is amongst the longest-running money generating business and private endeavour in today's world. It is a recent marvel, in approximately the past 5 years that Cash Gifting has really become familiar to the masses. At one time performed solely as offline activities, the universality of the internet has seen a huge spike in the popularity of these programs.

So ... exactly what is Cash Gifting?

According to the dictionary "Cash gifting is the act of privately or publicly giving another person or entity a declared sum of cash, strictly as a gift - and giving it freely without coercion or consideration."

Please ... Do not be confused ... this is nothing like other home-based business type opportunities Cash Gifting is not a loan or a payment for good or services. It is called a cash gift ...rather obviously because that's what it is... a gift ... that happens to be cash. It is given freely and without expectation.

Throughout its existence there have been many viewpoints and suppositions as to the authenticity of Cash Gifting and whether it is a feasible, bona fide and sound method of generating cash. But at the core of Cash Gifting is an underlying ideal that is often ignored and obscured by gluttony and the lure of money. This ideal is quite simple... to assist your fellow man (or woman) through generosity and in return to be validated and remunerated for your participation in the goodwill process. I believe we could all do well to remember ... "It is only when you give that you can truly begin to receive."

Why are people flocking to Cash Gifting programs?

Well, there are many things about these programs that folks find irresistible. First and foremost, who would not like the idea of money being delivered to their door no strings attached?

Don't answer ... It's a redundant question ... LOL

Cash Gifting programs do not involve all of the rubbish that you normally find in other "regular" home based business opportunities by negating the need to tout a product that people couldn't care less about. The selling side is totally gone and since most of us are not salespeople, not having to sell lotions, juice drinks, jerky, greeting cards, software, travel vouchers, diet pills, etc. is just the ticket. With Cash Gifting programs you don't have to fill your garage with inventory you'll never sell. You also don't have to cold call, fill monthly quotas, complete impossible matrices, buy products, involve your family and/or friends, spend money on merchant accounts/payment processor charges, build a website and so on ...

Today's Cash Gifting programs cut through all of the buildup, half-truths and falsehoods that "normal" online business opportunities are built on. Ask anyone ... It is all about the CASH.

With the popularity of the internet continuing to rise, more and more companies are looking to start their own online business. There are many benefits from operating online. You will save time and money, lower your overhead and potentially increase your sales by being open to your customers 24/7, as well as, being available to many different countries.

An online business is very similar to a conventional business. The big difference is that you use a website to offer your products or services instead of a building. Just like a bricks-and-mortar business however, there are basics you need to put into place to be successful.

When picking a domain name (www.yourcompany.com) there are some critical things to consider. The name you choose will reflect your product or service, so try to make it easy and logical for your potential customers. You will also want to register the domain under your own name. You do not want it attached to a hosting service incase you decide to switch to someone else.

Select a hosting company that is reliable and has the ability to scale up to meet your needs if necessary. When first starting out, you might want to have "shared" hosting, as this is less expensive. Once your company has grown, consider moving to a "dedicated" server for higher capacity.

It is essential to provide good quality content on your website. This will capture your potential customer's interest and increase your status as an expert in your field. Customers always want to feel that the person they are buying from is knowledgeable and offering sound advice.

When first setting up your online business, consider which direction you will be taking. Is the goal of your website to capture subscribers or directly sell products and services? If you are wanting to capture subscribers, consider what type of sign-up form you will be using and how best to implement your email or phone follow ups. When selling a product directly, you will need to include a shopping cart and secured payment system on your site.

If there are more than a few products available, your database becomes extremely important. Organize your products so that people can quickly and easily find what they are looking for. Site and product navigation are key components of a successful online business.

Having to depend on a website designer to make any changes on your website could end up being very costly. Learn how to do basic maintenance for site and shopping cart system. You will be pleasantly surprised to find, that it really isn't all the difficult to do.

Once the designing of your site is complete, consider how you will start to attract potential buyers to your online business. Popular methods include; Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising, as well as, Email and Article Marketing.

This article has just scratched the surface of what to consider when starting an online business. It is definitely worth the time and effort to research and educate yourself on the various components needed to start an online business, but the pay off will be well worth the effort.

Owning and maintaining an internet business requires that you have fresh content articles on a regular basis -- preferably daily. Articles quench the thirst for information and knowledge that lures your prospects to your site.

But what are you going to do if you can't or don't want to write?

To begin, if you don't want to hire someone to do it for you, you can obtain free articles online. Public domain articles are available for anyone to use. And, you don't need to worry about copyright issues with public domain articles.

Public domain articles have expired copyrights. In other words, when a work is copyrighted, that copyright has an expiration date. Copyrights can be extended but when the author dies, sometimes they don't get extended and actually expire. When that happens, they end up in the public domain. So, these are writings that were once published. And, in that light, the writing should be very good.

Because public domain articles are available to anyone, your competition may also be using them. This can be verified easily with a search engine. Make sure the articles you choose pertain to your website topic. You'll likely need to edit them a bit in order to place your keywords in the right places.

One of the best ways to get fresh content is to allow other websites with a similar niche to submit articles that you post on your site. It's a common blogging tactic to create "utility posts" which consist of an intro to a post in another blog with a link to it from your blog. Bloggers are simply using good fresh content from other blogs to fulfill their content needs.

Now, you might be saying -- wait a minute, I don't want links to other sites on my site! Well, if that's what you think, you're a little behind the curve because that's exactly what Web 2.0 is all about! Google knows this and is now serving up pages based primarily on their social popularity. Google weighs other parts of the site as well, but always remember that social populariaty is VERRRRY important!

So, forget about keeping all the links to yourself and start sharing as much as you can.

And, if you're wondering where all this is going, well here's the pot of gold and the real reason why I decided to write this article in the first place. Because of Web 2.0, there are now many article services gaining popularity that cater to this need. The one I belong to not only sends my "unique" articles to about 600 sites upon submission, but I also receive many unique articles each day as a subscriber. And, you can choose to only receive articles if you don't want to write them.

Hey, it's not expensive and it's the best way I know of to share links and get unique content on a regular basis. This makes it so easy for me to post to my blog sites now. I choose the categories, I choose how many articles I want each day and I choose whether or not to actually post them. After all, as we discussed earlier, not everyone can write well! Crappy content gets the boot!

One more thing you should know -- There are now many websites that offer Private Label Rights Articles that you can publish on your site. Many of them are free to join. Private label rights allow you to take credit for writing the articles. If you want, you can even rewrite all or part of them. In fact, that's how I wrote this article. I'm pretty good at writing, but sometimes the ideas don't come as quickly as I'd like. So, when I begin with a PLR work, the ideas start churning out and there's no need to create all of the content myself. Although most of the time you would not recognize the original as the starting content, when I'm done!

Ann Armitage’s How NOT To Make A Living – Part 3

This is the third installment in the series. My goal is to help people to learn more about the incredible potential the Internet can bring in income and freedom.

One of the biggest causes of stress in the home is not having enough money. It's also one of the largest reasons most of us can't ever realize our full potential. But... did you know the number one source for not having enough?

Beyond circumstance -- the number one reason most people won't ever truly live the life they want to live is owing to what I like to call "if-itus" ...

"If only I can get through just one more year. Next year the economy is sure to change and maybe then I'll be able to get a better job."

"If only I can get a small raise next month, I'll be able to pay off all these credit cards hanging over my head."

"If only I can get more overtime hours. Surely then I'll have enough left over each month to start investing."

"If only I had more time, I'd take those courses to upgrade my skills and get that job/promotion."

The "ifs" in life seldom bring the solutions they seek. By the time they have that slight raise in pay, or that year-end bonus, many find it spent before they even have a chance to enjoy it -- just catching up from being behind for so long.

"If-itis" is closely related to "until-itus" For example... "I can't take that trip to Disney with the family until I've paid off the car."

Have you ever heard this expression? "The harder I work, the farther behind I get."

This is a statement that is ...thought ...whispered ...stated ...by thousands of people every day. There is another well-known expression...

"Work smarter --- not harder."

The wealthy know the expression well, and put it into practice every single day. What happens? Here's another common expression ... "The rich get richer."

I don't have to tell you the other half to that expression. We all know what happens to the poor that DON'T learn how to work smarter, right?

What is the answer? Finding that certain something that will give you a solid concrete option for working SMARTER -- not harder -- and has the potential to launch you onto the path the rich already know about.

Don't suffer with "if-itus" ...or postpone living with "until-itus" for the rest of your life.
It's time to LIVE --- now --- in the MOMENT!

This is the second installment in the series.
My goal is to help people to learn more about the incredible potential the Internet can bring in income and freedom.

How NOT To Make A Living -- Part2

The last time someone took a poll of Americans who were thinking about changing careers, 57% said they were looking for new and brighter opportunities elsewhere. It would be a very safe guess that that number is probably higher now.

Some statistics worth reading.

At age 50, 75% of the population has less than $5,000 in the bank for retirement.

At age 65, 45% of Americans depend on relatives, 30% depend on charities, 23% still are working (most can't afford to quit and work until they are no longer physically capable) and Only 2% are self-sustaining.

At the present time, it is impossible to support a family of two working full time at minimum wage! For the first time in history, the current generation is averaging a lower standard of living then their parents! Automation is taking layoffs to record highs!

The Bureau of Labor Statistics says that out of 100 people that start working at the age of 25, by the age of 65...
- 1 is wealthy
- 4 have enough money to retire
- 63 depend on Social Security or charity
- 29 are deceased
95% of people, age 65 and over cannot afford to retire and so they work until they die!!

And that's only IF they still have jobs and are able to work.

What Happened to Safety and Security?

Why is trust and faith in "Big Business" all but lost? Even well-known Gateway computer company SLASHED it's employees to the minimum ...more than half their work force ended up out on the streets looking for a new source of income. News reports are filled with these sorts of occurrences daily.

In J. Paul Getty's book "How To Get Rich", his first rule for success is, "You must be in business for yourself. You will never get rich working for someone else."

Take for example, one highly qualified engineer who ended up out on the street after giving 25 dedicated years to his job. His advice?

"Don't do what I did -- wasting 25 years building equity in someone else's business. Do yourself a favor and start building equity in yourself now!"

This partly explains why there is a new home business started in the United States every 10 seconds. In the past 14 years alone, the numbers of businesses at home have grown from 6 million to 32 million with no slow-down in sight. In fact, an estimated 8,493 new businesses from home open every day.

The United States is now driven by an information and service economy. Over the past decade, Fortune 500 companies have laid off 4.4 million workers while smaller companies steadily continue to reduce their work forces.

As companies continue to downsize and re-organize, many professionals will seek out and search for new ways to take control of their careers. Many of these individuals have forsworn traditional "nine to five" office jobs and are making their homes pay off in more ways than one.

For the entrepreneur, businesses at home have become the bridge between work-crazed big cities and easy-paced family-oriented small towns. Link Resources Corp. reports that market research shows more than 29 million people run either full-time or part-time businesses from their homes.

People used to believe that their livelihood depended on living in big cities near big corporations. That is no longer true, thanks to personal computers, increased phone services, fax machines, and the Internet, it is no longer necessary to live in close proximity to "Big Business". You can now operate that "Big Business" right from your home office.

In today's economy it simply makes good sense to have a secondary income brought into the home -- from the home, right?

For many people in online business, that secondary income has turned into very significant primary incomes ...in a lot less time than you might think.
